Mr. Geiger is responsible for all of the day-to-day operations of the Caritas Funds, including risk management and asset valuation. In addition, Mr. Geiger analyzes all private oil and natural gas royalty transactions for potential acquisition and heads up the Investment Committee.
Mr. Geiger joined the Cornerstone team in 2005 as a Senior Analyst for the Caritas Funds. He was appointed to the Cornerstone Investment Committee in 2007, and promoted to Portfolio Manager of the Caritas Funds in 2009.
Prior to joining Cornerstone, Mr. Geiger was the Senior Portfolio Analyst at Preservation Capital Management, LLC, where his responsibilities included analysis and providing recommendations for investment companies within the commodity and cyclical sectors, including energy, metals (base/precious), agriculture and chemicals.
Mr. Geiger has also performed privately-owned business valuation analysis for American Express Corporate Finance/TBS, where he directed numerous privately-held and public (solvency) company valuation engagements ranging in size from $1+ million to $1+ billion (revenues).
Mr. Geiger has appeared on Bloomberg Television, been published in Barron’s, featured on podcasts and has participated in numerous articles featured in the Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, and Bloomberg News relating to the commodity sectors.
A graduate of Arizona State University with a B.S. in Finance (Summa Cum Laude with Honors), Mr. Geiger is also a CFA and CAIA Charter Holder and a member of the CFA Institute and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association. Mr. Geiger holds the Series 3, 7, 24, and 63 FINRA licenses (inactive) and has earned the Professional Land Management Certification from the University of Houston.
